Low VOCs...what is that?
We all remember painting back in the day the smell being intense often leaving a headache. Well this was because of the VOCs... Volatile Organic Compounds. They vaporize, effectively leaving their host and entering the air (that's the "volatile" part) where they combine with other airborne compounds to form ozone, which isn't good to breathe.
There are many options out there today so we have the choice not to expose ourselves to this toxin when decorating our homes and offices.
Paint companies have come a long way in producing products for different applications that hold up really well.
Latex paint was always known as the one to have less VOCs than oil paint but now we have zero or almost zero VOC paint on the market that is latex.
Benjamin Moore and Sherwin Williams are the two big paint companies that offer this here on the East Coast. There are also smaller boutique type paint companies out there that also offer this product. Plant based such as Unearthed Vega Paint and Milk Paint such as Anna Sova baby Paint.
All offering a range of luscious colors and finishes for all your needs.
